Take on the majestic Tamar Valley or head for the coast and the incredible South West Coast Path - Cornwall is for walkers!
Your Ekopod is tucked away in the spectacular 75 square miles of countryside, river valley and woodland that make up the Tamar Valley. This means there are some unbelievably beautiful walks available from right on your doorstep. If you fancy venturing a little further afield we’re not too far from the epic ruggedness of Bodmin Moor, perfect to get lost on for a while. And of course the South West Coast Path is an absolute must do for keen walkers, you can get to the nearest section in under half an hour.

From The door
To The Holy Well
A beautiful 30 minute round walk right from your Ekopod door. Head past the historic church and through the graveyard to seek out the Holy Well and it’s chapel beyond. The footpath is narrow and can get muddy and please keep your pooches on a lead and away from the sheep in the field.

Pub Walk
Across the garden, over nearby fields and through a gap in the hedge – this is a gorgeously rural 3 mile stroll to the Rising Sun Pub. Time your walk to coincide with their lunch or dinner service and enjoy a pint of something cold and local too. This one can get pretty muddy so be prepared! And take an great torch for the walk back at night!

Rough Tor and Brown Willy
Brown Willy is Cornwall’s highest point so it goes without saying that this walk has incredible views! All the way across Bodmin Moor and down to the sea, it really is stunning. From the car park at Rough Tor – it takes about an hour to reach the tor and get back or enjoy a 2-3 hour circular walk taking in Brown Willy too.

Tintagel to Boscastle
There are lots of places to pick up the South West Coast Path close to Ekopod the stretch from Tintagel to Boscastle is one of our favourites. The three hour walk between the two is undulating and utterly spectacular. We’d recommend parking at Boscastle and getting the bus to Tintagel and take the walk back along the cliff tops.

The South West Coast Path
The South West Coastal Path follows the whole of the Cornish Coast so any beach you go to will link up to it! Each part of the path is beautiful in different ways and it is easy to add doing a part of it to any beach or harbour town you visit. Please remember there can be a lot of up and down on these walks! You can use I Walk Cornwall to find circular walks including parts of the path too!
