We are looking for a part time (16 hours a week) duty manager / house keeping manager to join our small, friendly team at Ekopod, our award winning glamping site.

Reporting directly to the owners you would be responsible for overseeing busy change over days on site, making sure the glamping pods are prepared to the highest possible standards, for the management of self- employed cleaners and be on call one weekend every three weeks.

The ideal candidate would have an excellent eye for detail, experience of housekeeping in holiday lets, hotels or glamping sites, a love of customer service, be conscientious, highly organised, happy to work independently and be outdoors in all weathers!

The average day involves organising the cleaning schedule, setting up and preparing for the cleaners’ arrival including delivery of laundry and firewood around the site (using an electric golf cart), stock takes, making up of provisions and pre-ordered extras, doing extra cleaning jobs where and when necessary, making sure the pods are ready for check-ins and organsing the site ready for the next change over once the cleaners have left.

You would also be on call one weekend in three which would involve being available for answering the phone 24 hours a day to deal with queries and to visit the site at least once over the weekend.

Key information

9-5 two days a week (Monday and Friday)

The site is closed for a few days over Christmas and then for 6 weeks from New Years until February half term and so this period would be unpaid leave. This does not affect your pro-rata holiday allowance for the rest of the year.

One weekend in three on call (on a rota system)

Competitive salary – dependent on experience
