Top Ten things to do in Cornwall this October Half Term

Top Ten Things to do in Cornwall this October Half Term!  Looking for ideas for you and your family for October 2025 half‑term in Cornwall (& Devon this) year? Make this break extra special by staying with us at Ekopod and mixing nature, adventure, and a bit of spooky Autumn fun. We’re surrounded by beautiful coastal walks, dark skies, seasonal events, and plenty of chance to get creative outdoors. Plus, all our half term guests will receive a complimentary pumpkin carving kit—perfect for cosy evenings of crafting and laughter.

Here’s our round‑up of confirmed activities and events for October Half Term 2025  these are mostly in Cornwall, but being so close to the border there are a couple from Devon too!:

1) Explore the North Coast’s Beaches

Bude Beach October Half Term

The first of my top ten things to do in Cornwall this half term is to go to the beach.  Whatever the weather, a trip to the beach is a must  for your Cornwall Half Term visit!  We’re 25 minutes from Bude and its beaches have lifeguards throughout the half term holidays.

Bude: explore rock pools at low tide, hunt for hidden marine treasures, or simply listen to the sea.

The Bude Sea Pool is perfect for a sheltered dip.

Try surfing lessons  or coasteering near Port Gaverne for something adventurous.

Afterwards, wander Bude’s independent cafés and warm up with a hot chocolate or cream tea.
