A Fresh Chapter for Nessa Geodome
We’re excited to share a new update to Nessa Geodome here at Ekopod.
Over the winter, we’ve been reimagining the bathing experience at Nessa — keeping everything you love about ‘soaking’ in nature, while making it feel even more spacious, comfortable and in tune with our low-impact ethos.
Bathing Under Open Skies
The change? The bathtub has moved outside.
Positioned to make the most of the views and big Cornish skies, while still providing privacy, the bath now sits outdoors — giving you that long, luxurious soak with nothing but fresh air, birdsong and rolling landscape around you. On clear nights, you’ll have front-row seats to the stars (we are, after all, in a designated dark sky area).
We think there’s something deeply grounding about bathing outside. It slows you down. It heightens the senses. It connects you to where you are.
A New Walk-In Shower
Inside the geodome’s bathroom, we’ve also installed a spacious walk-in shower. Perfect for those brisk morning wake-ups after a night beneath canvas and sky.
The combination now gives you choice: A quick, refreshing shower — or a long, view-filled soak outdoors.
Our Take on Outdoor Hot Tubs
We know many people love a hot tub — and we completely understand the appeal. In fact, all the industry advice suggests that installing one would likely increase bookings. However, they don’t sit comfortably with our off-grid, low-impact approach. Even with our own spring, we still want to be thoughtful about how much water and energy we use.
The outdoor bathtub is our way of providing for the experience of open-air bathing — but in a way that feels lighter on the planet. It uses less water, no constant heating system. So this is our more environmentally friendly alternative to hot tubs. We had many conversations before making this decision. Striking the balance between creating something special for our guests and aligns with our environmental aims isn’t always easy. The new bath at Nessa feels like that balance.
Simple, Luxurious, Connected
Nessa has always been about spaciousness, light and that beautiful curve of the dome framing the countryside beyond. These updates lean further into that feeling — less separation between inside and out, more connection to nature, and a bathing experience that feels like part of the landscape rather than separate from it.
