Easter Activities for Children in Cornwall — 2026
Spring has arrived! Easter in Cornwall is the perfect time for your family to explore and enjoy a little seasonal magic. We’ve designed Ekopod to help you to slow down, reconnect with nature, and spend quality time together. Your glamping stay is screen-free, so your kids can immerse themselves in the outdoors. They can play in our little mud kitchen, build sandcastles in the pirate ship sandpit, and use our guides to spot birds and stars right from your pod. You can gather around your fire pit to toast marshmallows and enjoy those simple, joyful moments together. Meanwhile, you can take some time for yourself and unwind in our wild spa, soaking up the peace and quiet of our secluded site.
When you want to head out, Cornwall has a wonderful mix of family-friendly attractions and seasonal Easter events. From rides and puzzle trails to coasteering, surfing, and outdoor adventures, there’s plenty for you and your family to enjoy. Here’s our round-up of the best things to do with children over Easter 2026.
Theme Parks and Fun Days Out
If you want a day packed with adventure, Hidden Valley — The Puzzle Park is just 15 minutes from us and perfect for your family. You can wander the treasure hunt trails, tackle clever puzzles, explore the Forbidden Mansion, ride the miniature railway, enjoy their fab playpark and get lost in the maze together. The Big Sheep Park in North Devon is a favourite for spring days out. Your family can enjoy Easter shows, sheep races, indoor play zones, somre fun rides for younger children (including a mini roller coaster) and animal barns with bottle-feeding lambs.
Historical Adventures
For a gentler, nature-focused day, your family can explore the Lanhydrock Easter Trail near Bodmin. Kids can follow the trail through the gardens, solve simple puzzles, and enjoy a chocolate treat at the end. There’s a children’s play park, Victorian toys in the old nursery, mountain bike trails you can hire bikes for, and scenic walks around the grounds where dogs are welcome.
Tintagel Castle, 25 minutes from Ekopod, is perfect if your family enjoys a bit of legend and adventure. Explore the birthplace of King Arthur, wander the ruins, enjoy coastal walks, and visit Merlin’s Cave at low tide. You can finish with a cream tea in the village and even combine it with a visit to Trebarwith Strand beach or St Nectan’s Glen waterfall.

Easter at the Eden Project
You and your family can spend a full day exploring the Eden Project. Over Easter, you’ll find seasonal egg hunts, nature-inspired games, and new giant marble runs for children to enjoy. The Biomes, outdoor spaces, and play areas scattered across the site make it inspiring for all ages.
Trains and Special Visits
At Bodmin Railway, you can catch Paddington™ on 5th and 6th April 2026. Your kids will love riding a steam train from Bodmin General, exploring vintage carriages, trying out craft activities, and meeting Paddington himself.
Cornwall Classics and Outdoor Fun

Your family can enjoy Cornwall’s Easter traditions, like Padstow’s Easter Egg Rolling on Duke Street. After the event, explore Padstow, grab fish and chips from Rick Stein, and visit Hawkers Cove beach for a scenic stroll.
Being close to Cornwall’s North Coast means your kids can have endless beach fun. You can go rock pooling, paddling, picnic on the sand, or simply play together in the sun. Summerleaze Beach and Widemouth Bay provide easy access, car parks, cafés, and lifeguards over Easter. The Bude Sea Pool at Summerleaze is open year-round and perfect for paddling or swimming when the waves are bigger.
For a bit of adventure, your family can try surfing at Free Wave Surf Academy in Widemouth Bay, take guided coasteering trips with Cornish Rock Tours.
